Design
With the development of the C 400 series, the two high-end members of the Jamo Concert-family, C 60 and C 80, have been joined by a powerful little brother. The C 405 floorstanding speaker delivers true value for money and has a lot to offer music lovers and film enthusiasts alike.

Not only is C 400 a highly musical speaker system with unrivalled power handling, the entire series of speakers is beautifully constructed and has many unique design features. For example, the series is well known for its characteristic sandwiched front baffle, which contributes to its visual identity and to the cabinets’ acoustic properties. As with the other members of the Concert family, the 2.5-way C 405 floorstander—little brother to the flagship C 407—is equipped with Jamo’s unique Decoupled Tweeter Technology, for more realistic high frequency reproduction. The two 6.5-inch woofers deliver great performance across the board.

The C 400 series is cleverly constructed in a modular format, allowing you to build your system in phases. For example you can start with the two-channel solution, using a pair of C 405s or C 407s. Later on you can then supplement your system with a JAMO SUB 250 and turn it in to a powerful 2.1-system. Or you can add a C 400 CEN center-speaker for superior dialogue channel reproduction with movies and then, perhaps a pair (or two) of the C 400 SUR dipolar surround-speakers.

Technology
The C 405 is a feature-packed 2.5-way bass reflex speaker that uses two 6.5-inch woofers and 1-inch DTT tweeter to deliver remarkably accurate sound, tailored to its compact floorstanding cabinet.

DTT, one of the core technologies in the Concert series, is a tweeter mounting system specially developed by Jamo. One of the biggest challenges when designing speakers is preventing unwanted cabinet vibrations from clouding or coloring the sound. High frequencies are particularly susceptible. This problem is solved using DTT. By decoupling the tweeter from the rest of the loudspeaker, vibrations transmitted from the front baffle to the tweeter are reduced by more than 20dB, resulting in an uncommonly detailed and realistic reproduction of high frequencies.
